Rebels Topple President Snow Statue In New Mockingjay Poster

Katniss Everdeen and her army of rebels have President Snow right where they want him.

The new poster for The Hunger Games saga finale, Mockingjay – Part 2, features a crumbled statue of Snow (Donald Sutherland) that bears an uncanny resemblance to the famous toppled Saddam Hussein statue in 2003. Meanwhile, the red, spray-painted Mockingjay symbol echoes both anarchist symbology and Occupy Wall Street markings.

The image appears on thecapitol.pn — indicating district dissenters have hacked into Panem’s official site to share their menacing missive, along with the hashtag #uniterevolution.pn. Their message reads, in part, “President Snow’s reign will soon know its end… Panem will turn its face to the warming glow of a brighter future only after we turn our weapons to the Capitol. Take a stand. #Unite.”

In other words, things are getting real.

Mockingjay – Part 2, starring Jennifer Lawrence, starts its final uprising Nov. 20.
