Robert Downey Jr Causes Drama InThe Judge

Robert Downey Jr is ditching the Iron Man suit for a, well, regular one in his new film ‘The Judge’, the first trailer for which has been released today.

Downey plays Hank, a shyster lawyer who returns to his rural beginnings after the death of his mother. Once there, he finds himself drawn back into the complicated relationship he has with his father (Robert Duvall). The stakes get higher when dad is accused of murder and Hank has to defend him.

Showing off the wit we’ve come to associate with Tony Stark, the trailer also reveals Downey going back to his own dramatic roots, going head to head with Oscar-winner Duvall and giving a brief glimpse into an on-screen flirtation with Vera Farmiga.

It’s a welcome break from being a superhero.
