Ryan Reynolds Wants Wolverine Cameo In Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds has expressed his desire to see Hugh Jackman cameo as Wolverine in the upcoming ‘Deadpool’ movie.

“God I hope so, that would be really nice,” the actor told Australia’s news.com.au while promoting Woman In Gold.

“I dunno, we’ll see,” Reynolds continued. “It seems like he’s open to it, but it’s gonna be more of a scheduling issue than anything else.”

The two beloved characters have a closely linked histories, particularly relating to their origins as experiments conducted on mutants in the Weapon X programme.

That origin was explored in spin-off movie 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ but in six years since that turkey of the film, its existence has essentially been wiped from the continuity.

Reynolds portrayed Deadpool in that film but remained fan-favourite to play him again in another film which they hoped would pay more respect to the character.

That film is currently filming ahead of a release set for early next year. So far it seems to be a world away from 'Origins’ and a much better adaptation of the Marvel character.

Opportunities for Jackman to appear alongside Deadpool are running out given the recent news that the Aussie actor is nearing his final appearance as the clawed mutant in 2017’s follow-up to 'The Wolverine’.

'Deadpool’ is set for release on 12 February, 2016.
