Brolin signs up for Sin City sequel
Josh Brolin is reportedly set to star in the Sin City sequel.
The Gangster Squad actor will take on the lead role of Dwight in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, a prequel to the 2005 film, reported Collider.
The part was played by Clive Owen in the first movie.
Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller said: "Dwight is a constant character throughout the Sin City world and A Dame To Kill For is a defining episode in his life. We're looking forward to Josh's take on Dwight."
Meanwhile, Deadline has reported that Law And Order: SVU's Christopher Meloni is to play a cop in the highly anticipated sequel.
Earlier this week it was revealed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has also joined the cast as Johnny, who is described as a "cocky gambler who disguises a darker mission to destroy his most foul enemy at his best game".
Josh and Joseph will star alongside returning cast members Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Jamie King, Rosario Dawson and newcomers Jamie Chung and Dennis Haysbert.
Production is already underway at Robert's Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas for a 2013 release.
