Fiennes to star in 'Sands'?

Ralph Fiennes is currently in negotiations to play the lead in a forthcoming fantasy movie 'Sands'.

According to 'Variety' the 'Skyfall' actor is in ''advanced discussions'' to play the lead in the film to be directed by James Foley.


Foley, the director of 'Glengarry Glen Ross' and 'Perfect Stranger', has also recently made three episodes of the Netflix drama 'House of Cards'.

Fiennes will be joining a ''prominent'' Hollywood actress on the production which has a budget of c.$15 million and is written by Renata Bovara. The story, set to be filmed in Toronto, India and Reunion Island, concerns the travels of the spirit of a woman who is in a coma.

The film will be co-produced by Paris-based Ava Films and Phantom Colombia and HanWay Pictures in the U.K. and Germany-India joint venture Bombay Berlin Films.

Ralph Fiennes' next appearance in cinemas will be as novelist Charles Dickens in 'The Invisible Woman'.
