CinemaCon 2014 recently happened and The Hobbit: There and Back Again was being previewed there. Naturally many followed this event closely as films usually let slip a secret or two to get fans excited and to make them want to watch the film.

With 'There and Back Again' a whopping nine months away following its release being extended from the Summer back to Christmas, which is when the first two Hobbit trilogy films were released. So anything we would've gotten would have been fairly small in nature as Jackson isn't the kind of director to throw all of the film's best moments out there so easily!

However with CinemaCon come and gone it turns out that we got pretty much nothing new, no teasers, no clips from the movie. Again this can only be expected when post-production and VFX work still needs to be done but it's hard not to be a little disappointed.

One of the few things we were treated to was a clip of Gandalf saying "The time is upon us where we all must choose which side we're on". According to The Wrap there were also several shots of Gandalf and Bilbo staring at things and a glimpse of a flying dragon.

That was about it in terms of footage from 'There and Back Again' however when the film draws closer expect to see more and more clips. For now at least fans of Middle Earth in attendance at CinemaCon will have to content themselves with a video from Peter Jackson thanking the CinemaCon crowd and introducing an exclusive behind the scenes featurette covering the entire Lord of the Rings saga.

It'll do Jackson. For now.
