Josh Brolin arrested for public drunkenness
Actor was picked up on the street in Santa Monica 'unable to care for himself'
Josh Brolin was arrested on New Year's Day for public intoxication, it has emerged.
The 44-year-old actor, who stars in forthcoming period crime thriller 'Gangster Squad', was picked up just before midnight on January 1 in Santa Monica.

He spent the rest of the night in jail, before being released at 7.14am.
A police spokesperson said: “He was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was booked and released with no further action pending.”
Brolin, also the star of films including 'No Country For Old Men' and 'W.', in which he starred as former president George W. Bush, paid $250 (£154) in bail but will face no further charges.
A source close to the actor told the gossip site TMZ that he had simply had 'too much fun' while out with friends.
He has had the odd brush with the law in the past.
In 2008, he was arrested along with fellow actor Jeffrey Wright and five crew members of the film 'W.' after an altercation in the Stray Cat bar in Louisiana.
The charges were later dropped.
