Actor rumoured to be in talks for lead role.

Josh Brolin to take on Jurassic World?

Rumour has it Josh Brolin is set for an adventure of Jurassic proportion.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Colin Trevorrow is interested in the Oldboy actor for one of the film's leads.

Meanwhile, Variety reports that Brolin has been under consideration for the film since before production was delayed to allow time for a rewrite.

Talks are thought to be in early stages, but while no offer has been made if Brolin signs on he could star alongside Bryce Dallas Howard who's also rumoured for a part. Young actors Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins have been cast as siblings in Universal's latest instalment in the Jurassic Park franchise.

Little is known about the plot for the film which is set to begin filming in early 2014, with a planned US release date of June 12, 2015.
