Lawrence bags Santa Barbara prize
Jennifer Lawrence has paid tribute to Silver Linings Playbook director David O Russell as she picked up another gong for her performance in the movie.
The actress - who has already received Golden Globe, Screen Actors' Guild and Critics' Choice trophies for the film - was named Outstanding Performer of the Year at the Santa Barbara film festival.
She revealed on the red carpet: "(David)'s just a genius and he's amazing with characters. The stories that are inside his mind are just unbelievable and he actually has a way of communicating those stories.
"He's different, he always keeps you on your feet but he also gives you this nurturing feeling of home where you feel comfortable."
And Jennifer - who wore a Stella McCartney jumpsuit to pick up her award - also revealed her Hunger Games co-star Lenny Kravitz had given her advice on coping with awards season.
"Lenny Kravitz always gives the same advice for every situation. Drink a lot of water. So I've just been drinking a lot of water. And just trying to sleep when I can," she said.
