Marvel plans Hulk film after Avengers 2?

Bruce Banner's alter-ego may be getting his own stand-alone movie

The Hulk may be getting his own stand-alone film following 'Avengers 2', according to reports.

Marvel authority Latino Review has gone as far as to say that there will be a scene either in the film's final act or post-credits that will set the new Hulk film up.

It's now thought that the Hulk's new on-screen story could take its plot from the 'Planet Hulk' and 'World War Hulk' comics.

In 'Planet Hulk', the Hulk is banished from the Earth after Marvel's Illuminati - a secret group of representatives from groups including the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four, which includes Iron Man - decide that he is a threat to the Earth.

He is then exiled into space, where he is enslaved by an alien race, but rises up against them.

In a later spin-off comic series called 'World War Hulk', he then returns to Earth for revenge.

Supporting the likelihood of a new series of films is the fact that Mark Ruffalo, who played Bruce Banner and his green alter-ego in 'Avengers Assemble', is signed on to make six movies with Marvel Studios.

There is a little time to wait until we find out, however – 'Avengers 2' will not land until 2015.

Ruffalo took over the role from Ed Norton, who played the Hulk in 'The Incredible Hulk' in 2008, and Eric Bana, who went green in 2003's 'Hulk'.
