Bay has already helmed three 'Transformers' pictures, and is now planning another three on top, though whether he will direct all of them himself is not yet clear.

Writing on his website, Bay said: “This movie takes place exactly 4 years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast.
“This Transformers will feel very different then the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy.”
He has also revealed that Irish actor Jack Reynor will be starring alongside Mark Wahlberg in 'Transformers 4'.
“Reynor is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously, who does that? This kid is the real deal,” he added.
Various rumours have surrounded the production so far.
There is speculation that it may well be set in Asia, after locations crews were found to be exploring Thailand and China.
A source told the Hollywood Reporter: “It’s not Oliver Stone making this movie. [Bay] is not going to make some political statement about [Chinese government] atrocities or oppression. He’s going to be more interested in showing how robots blow up some corner of the Great Wall of China.”
