Patrick Stewart 'knows nothing' about X-Men sequel
Its director Bryan Singer announced on Twitter that both Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen were on board the film, and set to reprise their roles of Professor X and Magneto.

But Stewart has said that he's not signed a contract, nor does he have any details about the project.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said: “It's a kind of awkward position, because lovely Bryan Singer just blurted it all out there. For me the big thrill is knowing that Bryan Singer is attached to this movie, because not only is he a brilliant director, but also I adore him and hope that it might be true and that we do work together at some point in the future.
“But I'm not being coy. I know nothing about this project. And I'm hoping that might change in the future. I don't know that we're doing it. I have not signed a contract yet. I know there is a project in development, but we have no dates.”
“[There is] no detailed casting,” he continued. “Thrilled to hear that my dear friend and colleague Ian McKellen is on board, but I'm sorry, you know, you need to understand, I'm not being cute. I know nothing.”
McKellen, meanwhile, was more positive, telling the Huffington Post: “I haven't read the script, so I don't know how much we've got to do. But, to be back in that world, and for Bryan to be doing it - with all the success he's had in the meantime - it's wonderful. Wonderful.”
It's also emerged that Hugh Jackman is indeed in talks for a cameo as Wolverine, as he did – albeit briefly – in 'X-Men: First Class'.
“There is an X-Men: First Class sequel which Bryan Singer is directing, which I think is awesome. It started with Bryan and I know the fans are super-excited,” he said.
“I did a three-hour, three-word cameo in the last one - literally it took me three hours… I have been talking to Bryan about doing something in [X-Men: Days of Future Past].”
Whoever appears in the final film, it's due out in 2014.
