Patrick Stewart 'quadruple take' video goes viral

We all know about Patrick Stewart's thespian creds... but they've just got that little bit more impressive.

A video of the 'Star Trek' legend doing a tutorial of the 'quadruple take', filmed by his jazz singer girlfriend Sunny Ozell, has now gone rather viral.

In a casual hoody and shorts, and in front of his giggling other half, Stewart takes us through the 'takes' from single, right through to the flamboyant 'quadruple'.

In the brilliant, tongue-in-cheek tutorial, he explains: “What you have to understand about the quadruple take is it’s not in the same style as the take, single or double take, right, it’s a different style of physical comedy.

“The first three were based on truth, on naturalism, on spontaneous, naturalistic acting,” he continues, before performing the move.

“This, the quadruple take, is in a different category of acting altogether but it’s the only one I know and you’ll be glad to hear that I don’t have anything beyond the quadruple take.”

Since going up on YouTube on August 27, it's received a robust 1.6 million views.

Now that's a number worthy of the quadruple take...
