Robert Rodriguez sued for 'bullying' Apple co-founder

Director Robert Rodriguez is being sued for $11 million by a gaming company, claiming that he bullied them out of plans to make a series of films and game apps.

US company ITN Flix were planning to make a series of vigilante-based films with frequent Rodriguez collaborator Danny Trejo, but its alleged that the 'Sin City' helmsman then bullied the company's partners in the project, including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, out of participating.

It's claimed that Rodriguez believed the project to be too similar to his 'Machete' and 'Machete Kills' films, which star Trejo.

ITN made the game app 'Danny Trejo's Vengeance: Woz With a Coz', with the participation of Wozniak, in order to raise money and create publicity for the film projects.

But they state that Rodriguez used 'his means, connections and influence to threaten, intimidate and bully Wozniak into pulling support of the game', claiming Trejo's agent worked alongside Rodriguez to scupper the plans by telling Wozniak that the owner of ITN Flix was 'a fraud and a con man'.

Wozniak later pulled out of the deal.

The suit claims that the company has lost out on at least $11 million in revenue, and is seeking that sum in damages.
