After months of speculation, a sequel to ‘The Inbetweeners Movie’ has been officially confirmed, after Simon Bird spilled the beans last month.

‘The Inbetweeners Movie 2’ is in production and will be released in the UK in August next year.

Creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley said: "We couldn't be more excited to be making another ‘Inbetweeners’ movie with Simon, Joe, James and Blake. Frankly it's pathetic how much we've all missed each other. A new chapter in the lives of the Inbetweeners feels like the very least we can do to thank the fans for their phenomenal response to the first movie."

The first film was a huge hit, making £57 million on a budget of just £3 million.

So far no plot details have been revealed about the sequel, but there have been rumours the guys will go to Australia.

Obviously Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas will be back as the hapless Will, Jay, Neil and Simon.

It will be shot in the UK later this year.
