Watch: Damian Lewis as Henry VIII in BBC’s ‘Wolf Hall’ Trailer

From a POW-turned-hero-turned-double agent to Henry VIII, Damian Lewis’ latest TV role couldn’t be more different from his “Homeland” character.

A new trailer for the BBC’s “Wolf Hall” shows Lewis as the Tudor monarch in his younger (and much slimmer) days.

“Wolf Hall” follows the rise of Thomas Cromwell (played by Mark Rylance) from a blacksmith’s son to the heights of the Tudor court.

“I keep you because you are a serpent,” Henry tells his closest adviser in the trailer.

The miniseries is based on Hilary Mantel’s novel of the same name and its sequel, “Bring Up the Bodies.”

The six-part drama, which also stars Jonathan Pryce and Joanne Whalley, will air on BBC Two this month and come to PBS in April.
