Seth Rogen Slams 'Pot Stench Office' Story

Seth Rogen has hit back over claims that former Sony boss Amy Pascal has had to delay moving into his old office because of an un-shiftable smell of marijuana.

A story published in the Hollywood Reporter cited unnamed sources claiming the office on the Sony lot was going to need completely repainting, and that the ‘stench’ of pot had even ‘seeped into the flooring’.

Pascal, who was ousted as the co-chair of Sony Pictures following the hacking scandal, was set to move into the office formerly occupied by Rogen and Evan Goldberg as she takes on a new role as a producer.

The deal is said to be worth $30 million to $40 million over the next four years.

But Rogen has rubbished the odour-based claims.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “I don’t know what’s more irresponsible: that they would print a story that is completely untrue, or that they would refer to how pot smells as a ‘stench’. #mysh*tsmellsgood.”

Indeed, Rogen is a enthusiastic smoker of pot, once telling Elle magazine: “I guess I could say I have a terrible case of I-wanna-smoke-weed-all-day.”

Rumours have surfaced before about complaints being made about the smells emanating from Rogen and Goldberg’s office.

Add to this his penchant for smoking marijuana regularly on-screen - notably in films like stoner action-comedy ‘Pineapple Express’, and such a story was perhaps less that a stretch of the imagination.
