Shia LaBeouf: Woman Raped Me During Art Show

Shia LaBeouf says that he was raped by a woman on Valentine’s Days during his five-day art installation called ‘#Iamsorry’ in Los Angeles.

The troubled 28-year-old actor sat in a small room in a gallery space, wearing his now famous paper bag over his head, emblazoned with the words ‘I Am Not Famous Anymore’, in February this year.

But he says that on the third day, a woman entered the room, while her boyfriend was outside – LaBeouf’s own girlfriend Mia Goth was also waiting in the queue – and raped him.

Speaking in an interview with Dazed magazine, he said: “One woman who came with her boyfriend, who was outside the door when this happened, whipped my legs for ten minutes and then stripped my clothing and proceeded to rape me.

“There were hundreds of people in line when she walked out with dishevelled hair and smudged lipstick. It was no good, not just for me but her man as well.

“On top of that my girl was in line to see me, because it was Valentine’s Day and I was living in the gallery for the duration of the event – we were separated for five days, no communication.

“So it really hurt her as well, as I guess the news of it travelled through the line. When she came in she asked for an explanation, and I couldn’t speak, so we both sat with this unexplained trauma silently. It was painful.”

The bizarre revelation came in a series of emails between LaBeouf and Dazed journalist Aimee Cliff, who LaBeouf had contacted out of the blue and offered an interview.

The pair conversed online for around two weeks, with LaBeouf offering an additional hour-long. face-to-face ‘silent interview’ with the writer.

For the ‘metamodernist encounter’, published on the magazine’s website, LaBeouf and Cliff are filmed with GoPro camera’s attached to their heads while they sit in almost complete silence for a full hour, bar occasional giggling.

LaBeouf caused controversy earlier this year, after he plagiarised graphic artist Daniel Clowes in a short film he made, which lead to apologise profusely on Twitter, spawning the contrite ‘#Iamsorry’ hashtag.

He later appeared at the red carpet premiere of the movie ‘Nymphomaniac’ in Berlin with the bag on his head featuring the message ‘I am not famous anymore’.

Its the culmination of a tempestuous year for the former child star.

LaBeouf reported to a criminal court in New York this week to detail his progress in an outpatient alcohol rehab program, in relation to charges of criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment after he interrupted a production of ‘Cabaret’ on Broadway in June.
