SPECTRE: Stephanie Sigman Joins James Bond

It looks as though ‘SPECTRE’ has landed another potential Bond girl… as Stephanie Sigman joins the cast in a mystery role.

Revealed today by the official 007 Twitter account, it looks as though the 28-year-old Mexican actress will be joining the upcoming Bond movie, ‘SPECTRE’.

“Stephanie Sigman will join Daniel Craig in the next James Bond movie ‘Spectre’,” said The Wrap. “The actress will play a mysterious woman named Estrella alongside Daniel Craig and Christoph Waltz… and chances are likely that she’s a femme fatale of some kind.”

Stephanie Sigman recently starred in ‘The Bridge’ – an American crime drama on US TV. But perhaps she’s best known for the critically acclaimed Gerardo Naranjo movie, ‘Miss Bala’.

Of course, with the recently announced ‘SPECTRE’ cast, we’ve already got a good idea of who will be taking to the screen in Bond’s next outing. And with both Monica Belluci and Léa Seydoux on screen, I have to wonder whether there’s room for another Bond girl.

Unfortunately, details of the role of Estrella remain under wraps… and for the time being, it’s unclear how she will fit into the wider story.

But that hasn’t stopped some fans assuming that the smouldering Mexican beauty will appear in the role of a femme fatale. And while that may seem entirely plausible, nothing has been confirmed at this stage.

Stephanie Sigman joins Daniel Craig as James Bond, with a cast including Dave Bautista, Christoph Waltz, Monica Belluci, Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw and Ralph Fiennes. And Sam Mendes has returned to direct after the huge success of ‘Skyfall’.

Will Stephanie Sigman get the chance to seduce Mr Bond in the upcoming movie? For now, we’ll have to wait and see. But I get the feeling it won’t end well…

‘SPECTRE’ heads to cinemas on 23 October 2015.
