Spider-Man Will Only Cameo In Captain America: Civil War

The cinematic community is currently still devouring the revelation that Tom Holland is the new ‘Spider-Man’.

But in amidst the news of the 19-year-old’s casting was the tease that while Holland will make his debut in next summer’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’, it’s only going to be a brief cameo.

Variety have reported, “Spider-Man is only expected to have a cameo in ‘Captain America: Civil War’,” before adding that Holland is only set to be on the set of the third solo adventure for Steve Rogers for “about a week.”

It’s thought that Marvel Studio’s plan was always for Spider-Man to make just a brief appearance in ‘Civil War’, which is why there was no rush on their casing process for the character.

It’s been assumed for months that Spider-Man would debut in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, which has widely been labelled as Avengers 2.5 because of its vast ensemble of superheroes.

Spider-Man plays a key role in the ‘Civil War’ comic-book arc, and while his part is expected to be severely diminished for the adaptation, fans will just be ecstatic to learn that he’s featuring at all.

Of course, at the moment, this is all still speculation, because while Marvel have confirmed that Holland is officially Peter Parker/Spider-Man, they’ve yet to announce his involvement in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.

There’s a good chance though that they’ll leave hs appearance unconfirmed until the film has finally hit cinemas though, so that it can truly surprise audiences ahead of Spider-Man’s first solo adventure in the Marvel Universe on July 28, 2017.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ will precede Spider-Man by just over a year, as it will be released on May 6, 2016.
