Yahoo Movies Star Trek Actress Slammed For 'Transphobic' Bruce Jenner Comments
Star Trek’s Alice Eve has been accused of bigotry over an online rant about how Bruce Jenner, the former Olympian turned reality TV star who is going through gender reassignment, is ‘playing’ at being a woman.
The actress, who played Carol Marcus in 'Star Trek Into Darkness’ and is the daughter of actor Trevor Eve, made the comments on her Instagram page.

“Nope. If you were a woman no one would have heard of you because women can’t compete in the decathlon,” she wrote.
“You wouldn’t be a hero. You would be a frustrated young athlete who wasn’t given a chance.
“Until women are paid the same as men, then playing at being a 'woman’ while retaining the benefits of being a man is unfair.
“Do you have a vagina? Are you paid less than men? Then, my friend, you are a woman.”
Some of her followers found her remarks distasteful, however, and said they would unfollow her.
One said: “Your notion that Jenner is 'playing’ at being a woman is honestly disgusting.”
Another added: “This is transphobia at its finest.”
Following the backlash, she deleted her posts and backtracked.
“I do agree that the struggle for transgenders is unique and horrific,” she said.
“However, I do want to also support a cause I strongly believe in, the right for women to have equal rights to men.
“The transgender equality struggle is the next one, as we all know. And very real it is, too.”
Jenner, who is the step-father of Kim Kardashian and one of the stars of the reality series 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, appeared in an interview with Diane Sawyer this week in the US talking about his decision to transition into a woman.
He revealed his plans earlier this year, saying that he had dealt with gender dysphoria since youth and had experimented with cross-dressing for some years.
