Star Wars 7 'Better Than Empire Strikes Back' Says C-3P0 Star

Although many fans are hoping that ‘Star Wars VII’ will at least come close to the original trilogy, ‘Star Wars’ actor Anthony Daniels thinks it does a lot more than that… and suggests that the new sequel tops the much-loved ‘The Empire Strikes Back’.

According to Anthony Daniels - the actor who plays C-3PO throughout the entire ‘Star Wars’ saga – the upcoming ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ manages to top even the most-loved episode of the original trilogy.

He tweeted: “‘No movie sequel is better than The Empire Strikes Back.’ You might eat those words for Xmas dinner in 2015. Joy & Indigestion to the world!”

Of course, Daniels is clearly referring to ‘Star Wars VII’ which is slated for release on 18 December 2015.

It’s certainly a bold claim, and we have to put it into context – this is a beloved ‘Star Wars’ actor commenting on the next ‘Star Wars’ movie after he’s just wrapped production on ‘Star Wars VII’. So he’s probably going to be a little biased…

But what if it turns out that he’s right?

If anyone has insight into the entire ‘Star Wars’ saga, it’s Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker. After all, the two droids have appeared throughout the prequel and original trilogies… and it looks as though Daniels is as excited as we are.

Of course, it could all just be hype for a movie that he’s hoping will continue his career… but I can’t help wondering if it’s a bit more than that. After all, with J.J. Abrams being such a big fan himself, I can’t help thinking that this is going to be something really special.

Obviously, for now we’ll have to wait and see. But with C-3PO’s seal of approval, the future looks bright in the galaxy far, far away.
