New Star Wars 7 Promo Art Reveals Kylo Ren

It looks as though we may finally have our first proper look at ‘Star Wars VII’ villain, Kylo Ren… as some promotional artwork finds its way online.

The images seem to have been doing the rounds on social media this morning while ‘Star Wars’ fans prepare for the big event – Star Wars Celebration. But the wait is finally over. The new ‘Star Wars’ villain has been revealed.

And he’s already looking rather menacing…

Appearing over at fan site Star Wars Underworld, the images depict Kylo Ren in all his glory – complete with that controversial crossguard lightsaber.

Of course, until now we’ve had to make do with the obscured, shot-from-behind look, which is how Ren appears in the official ‘Star Wars VII’ teaser trailer.

That is, unless you’ve been seeking out those infamous leaked images.

But with the unveiling of this promo art, it looks as though the images that have been passed amongst the shadowy corners of the internet might actually be accurate. At least, if these new images are legitimate.

As you can see, Kylo Ren takes centre stage… but it’s not just the main villain who takes the spotlight in these new pictures. Finally, we get a closer look at a variety of stormtroopers, and that includes those impressive-looking flamethrower-wielding bad guys.

But will we get an even closer look when Disney and Lucasfilm open up later today for a Q&A session with J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy?

We’ve already seen some cool new images courtesy of the event’s programme (again revealed online by SWU) - images which gave us our first detailed look at the all-new ‘Star Wars VII’ stormtroopers.

And now it’s Kylo Ren’s turn. Assumed to be played by ‘The Force Awakens’ actor Adam Driver, little is known about this enigmatic villain. But judging from these images, he’s already looking pretty badass.

But will Abrams reveal more about ‘The Force Awakens’ in this special event?

There’s been very little in the way of official reveals, but it’s rumoured that we may finally get a look at the full official trailer – and you can watch it all as it happens on our live-stream from a special event in London.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but for the time being, we’ve got plenty of new images of the ‘Star Wars VII’ villain to drool over. Let’s just hope they turn out to be official.
