The Back To The Future II DeLorean iPhone Case You Need In Your Life

Take a look at the car above. It’s not a toy, it’s a phone case. The greatest phone case ever made? Maybe.

This new ‘Back To The Future’ inspired iPhone 6 case has been announced in Japan just in time for the film’s 30th anniversary.

The amazing “Crazy Case” design, based on Doc Brown and Marty McFly’s DeLorean in ‘Back To The Future: Part II’, is available to pre-order from Japanese toy manufacturer Bandai for 5,940 yen (around £32) plus postage.

As you can see, it’s an incredibly detailed reproduction of the iconic movie vehicle, with the phone itself housed where the car’s chassis would go. It’s got built-in LED lights and moveable parts that allow you to fully use your phone when it’s in the case.

Because, let’s face it, when you’ve got a case like this - why would you ever let your phone go naked again butthead?!

We’ve got to admit though, it doesn’t look like the most practical of cases. The wheels are locked into hover mode and you need to slide the bonnet across to use the camera, and you also need to flip up one side to adjust the volume, but we think it’s a small price to pay.

After all, it lights up, presumably powered by batteries rather than plutonium.

With 2015 being the year Marty McFly visits in ‘Part II’, there’s been an influx of merch and tie-ins announced for this year including hoverboards and self-tying shoes, but this is one of the coolest (and affordable) bits of memorabilia we’ve seen so far.

The announcement video for the case is gold too even if you can’t speak Japanese. Check it out below in all its glory.
