Minions: The Queen Gets Tough In New Trailer

It’s almost time for all the ‘Despicable Me’ fans to get excited again because the new spin-off movie, ‘Minions’, is out soon and there’s a brand new trailer for us to feast our eyes on.

We join familiar faces Stuart, Kevin and Bob (voiced by Pierre Coffin) on their own adventure, this time without the involvement of evil genius Gru (voiced previously by Steve Carell), as they embark on an outrageous adventure to London.

Having been recruited at a super villain conference, the hapless trio, led by Scarlett Overkill (Sandra Bullock) and husband Herb (John Hamm), plan to steal the Queen’s crown jewels and take over the world, as you do… but things don’t go quite to plan.

And that’s as complex as the plot gets, so sit back and enjoy the slapstick nature of the latest trailer for a film that, if the previous ‘Despicable Me’ films are anything to go by, will be one of the biggest movies of 2015.

When ‘Despicable Me’ was released back in 2010, the animated outing earned a positive reception and over half a billion dollars worldwide.

The sequel, aptly named ‘Despicable Me 2′, was an even greater success, scooping just shy of $1 billion, which saw it as one of the year’s most profitable films.

A third instalment is due out in the summer of 2017, so there’s plenty to look forward to if you’re a fan of the pint-sized goggle wearers.

There’s every indication that this spin-off following the loveable yellow monsters will be just as big as its predecessors, so prepare yourself for a widespread (and inaudible) minion takeover this summer.

‘Minions’ is in UK cinemas on 26 June.
