The Woman In Black: Angel of Death - First Trailer (Exclusive)

The first trailer for ‘The Woman In Black: Angel of Death’ has arrived and it comes with a warning to those who thought the terror from the first film was over: “She never forgives. She never forgets. She never left.”

Although it doesn’t show us much, we do get a look inside the dilapidated Eel Marsh House which is even more creaky, dusty, and shadowed than ever before. The creepy nursery, with its rocking chair, and children’s dolls is present and correct… as is the terrifying ‘Woman In Black’.

This is the world exclusive first look at the sequel to 2012’s smash hit horror from Hammer. The original was the highest-grossing British horror film in 20 years and so expectation levels are high for ‘Angel of Death’.

The film stars Jeremy Irvine (‘War Horse’), Helen McCrory (‘Skyfall’) and Phoebe Fox (‘Switch’) and it picks up the story of Eel Marsh House years later during World War 2.

Here’s the official synopsis: England, 1941. With London in the midst of the blitz, two teachers evacuate a group of schoolchildren to the abandoned Eel Marsh House. Seeking safety from the bombs in the remote coastal location, the group instead find themselves facing an evil far more frightening when their arrival awakens the Woman in Black.

BAFTA-nominated director Tom Harper is behind the camera this time around, taking over from James Watkins, with a script from Jon Croker. ‘Woman in Black’ is based on a ghost story, written by Susan Hill, that was adapted into a hugely popular stage play of the same name in 1987. It is the second-longest running play in the history of London’s West End, behind only ‘The Mousetrap’.

‘The Woman In Black: Angel of Death’ is coming to cinemas in 2015.
