Tom Cruise Almost Hit By Bus While Filming Mission: Impossible 5 In London

Tom Cruise is well known for braving danger and doing his own ridiculous stunts, but even he might’ve met his match in the treacherous streets of London.

The Hollywood megastar is in the capital making ‘Mission: Impossible 5’, and was filmed attempting to cross the road in what appears to be Piccadilly Circus (there’s a Regent Street sign in the background). Watch above.

Without looking he wanders into the road, only to leap back at the last minute to avoid an oncoming bus. He should’ve paid closer attention to the Green Cross Code.

Afterwards he then shares a joke with a passerby, who is presumably confused that he almost saw the most famous actor in Hollywood run over by a bus.

In another video that has emerged from the shoot, Cruise is once again walking around Piccadilly Circus. After wandering through the crowds, many of whom appear to recognise him, he walks into a red phone box, and then wanders out, only WITHOUT HIS SHIRT.

It’s all very bizarre, but we assume it’ll make sense when the film comes out on 26 December 2015. Judging by his physique, he’s obviously still got a gym membership.

Earlier this year Cruise (and not his stunt double) was literally strapped to the side of a plane flying at 5000ft for the production.

'M:I 5' is directed by regular Cruise collaborator Christopher McQuarrie and also stars Paula Patton, Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin and Simon Pegg.
