Tom Hanks Spoofs Forrest Gump In New Carly Rae Jepsen Music Video

Just in case you’d forgotten how incredibly awesome Tom Hanks is, he’s just put in another barnstorming appearance in Carly Rae Jepsen’s video for her new single ‘I Really Like You’.

Watch it above.

We see Hanks getting ready for the day, walking down the street getting harassed by autograph hunters before he launches into a full dance number accompanied by Carly and Justin Bieber, all while he lip syncs the annoyingly catchy tune.

Our favourite moment has to be when Hanks signs a ping pong bat for an eager fan in homage to his Oscar-winning performance as the table tennis-loving ‘Forrest Gump’, before he launches a ball into the air.

Hanks is also seen using dating app Tinder and brushing off a paparazzo, but it’s his dancing skills towards the end of the video that really put a smile on our faces, even if he does have to boogie with Justin Bieber.

He displays admirable dad-dancing skills and even manages to maintain his impeccable faux-singing throughout. Surely there must be an Oscar for Best Lip Syncing?

Canadian singer Jepsen is best-known for her insanely catchy 2011 single ‘Call Me Maybe’, but we’ve got to admit, this new single could be just as memorable. We’ll not be forgetting this video for a while anyway.
