Toy Story That Time Forgot Easter Eggs Revealed

With the release of Pixar’s ‘Toy Story That Time Forgot’ this month, a number of Easter eggs, or nods and winks, have been spotted.

There was always going to be sneaky cameos and blink and you miss it moments that the more astute Pixar fan will pick up on; it’s just knowing where to look…

Mild spoilers to follow.

The folk over at Pixar Times have compiled a list of everything they could find from in short TV special, so here are some of the top picks.

Knick Knack Cameo

A frustrated snowman trapped inside a snow globe in ‘Knick Knack’ was the star of Pixar’s 1989 short. Here, he can be seen on the table next to a festive-looking Woody.

Luxo Jr. Ball

'Luxo Jr.' was the first ever animation John Lasseter and the gang at Pixar made, so it's only natural that they include the yellow, red and blue ball that features. (It's on the bottom right of the Battlesaurs box.)

The Train In Toy Story 3

Some fans will recall the opening to ‘Toy Story 3’, where we see a spectacular train chase, which is actually pretty memorable. In the wide shot of Mason’s room, if you look closely, you can see the exact same train set on the floor.

Pizza Planet Truck

In the same shot (above) we can also (just about) make out the Pizza Planet truck from ‘Toy Story’ (to the right of the looped yellow track). Since its first appearance, it has featured in every single Pixar movie, including medieval tale ‘Brave’.

Buzz’s Spaceship

Remember when Buzz was desperately trying to repair his crash-landed ship in ‘Toy Story’? Well you’ll notice that Bonnie’s backpack is extremely similar to the cardboard one we see the deluded space ranger ‘fixing’. Seems the Buzz Lightyear merch is still doing well.

Nemo And Dory!

In a low-angled shot of piles of board games, if you squint (hard) enough you can see the stars of ‘Finding Nemo’. It’s a tough one to spot, but it’s there (near the top-left on the blue cube).
