Tyler James Williams Talks Spider-Man Fan Wishes

Williams, the once child-star of sitcom 'Everybody Hates Chris’ who now is better known for roles in 'The Walking Dead’ and 'Dear White People’ was speaking to Flicks In The City.

“I kind of followed the Miles Morales character quite a bit - my brother really did, so he suggested if it goes that way it could work,” said the 22-year-old. “And I’m open to the idea, I am.”

“I’m not like starting campaigns for it because I trust Marvel. I’ve read for them before. So I trust what their decisions will be. But yeah, I’d love to do it. I would absolutely love to do it. I think there are a few names in the hat that absolutely do make sense. Kind of who is the best for it. I’d be stoked to do it.”

Interestingly Williams mentions he once read for a part in the MCU, possibly for the role of Sam Wilson/Falcon in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier’?

Miles Morales, the young black-hispanic boy who became Spider-Man in the comics back in 2011 - and who has been a rousing success since - was once a possibility for the forthcoming reboot before Marvel confirmed they were looking to cast a new Peter Parker.

Morales remains a fan-favourite however, and given the nature of Marvel’s sprawling universe who could yet appear many years down the line.
