Warwick Davis Breaks Remembrance Day Silence With Cringeworthy Free Luggage Tweet

‘Willow’ star Warwick Davis faced the wrath of Twitter after tweeting during the traditional two-minute silence to mark Armistice Day.

It wasn’t any old tweet either - it was a cringe-worthy message thanking Samsonite for (presumably) free suitcases. Probably not the kind of promotion they were after.

It was the kind of awkward mishap that could’ve happened on his show ‘Life’s Too Short’.

Poor Davis blamed a dodgy internet connection on the tweet but it could’ve been a forgetful social media manager.

There was a barrage of strong criticism for Warwick on Twitter from his followers. Two typical examples include: “I’m sure Warwick Davis could have waited for two minutes before making his luggage related tweet” from @SoulStealer2011 and “so poor of you to tweet your promotional tweet during the two minutes silence” from @andygale.

There was a backlash against the backlash though, with some users echoing the thoughts of @PSR4W , who said: “People are having a go at Warwick Davis for tweeting during the 2min silence, please find something better to do with your time.”

At least ex-‘Strictly’ judge Arlene Philips was impressed.
