Benedict Cumberbatch And Keira Knightley Interviewed Each Other - And It Was Amazing

The eagerly awaited Alan Turing biopic ‘The Imitation Game' is coming to cinemas this week. It boasts a gripping real-life story and some of the hottest British acting talent around, so when we were offered the chance to interview its two leads we jumped at the chance (interview by Orlando Parfitt).

Rather than just asking Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley the same old boring questions though, we got them to interview each other and the results are pretty special.

Keira Knightley thinks Benedict Cumberbatch does “Blue Steel” for photographs

We asked Keira which Mr Darcy she preferred - Colin Firth in ‘Pride and Prejudice’ or Benedict Cumberbatch’s copy cat shoot he did for charity recently. She preferred BC of course, but she was amused by his ‘Zoolander’-esque facial pose.

He’s useless at pulling the “Keira Knightley pout”

He may be good at a male model poses, but BC is not so hot on Keira’s famous pout.

Benedict’s tips for photobombing are very practical

Everyone knows Benedict is Hollywood’s best photobomber (see photos of him pranking U2 at the Oscars for evidence) but what’s his practical advice for anyone wanting to follow in his footsteps?

image

"Don’t wear heels and just look for a group of old rockers to do it behind," he tells Keira, "Always get a good angle and get a run up as well."

Benedict Cumberbatch CAN say “penguins” after all

A video of the ‘Sherlock’ star narrating a nature documentary went viral recently thanks to his apparent inability to pronounce the word “Penguins”. But he can really, which is helpful seeing as his next film is ‘Penguins of Madagascar’.

Benedict Cumberbatch hates the term “Bromance”

We suggested Benedict has a ‘bromance’ with Tom Hiddleston, but it turns out he’s not a fan of the phrase.

image

"[Tom Hiddleston] is a ‘friend’, get over it," he says, "Why is it that any male friend has to be a bromance?"

"I do alright, I’ve got loads of ‘bros’ that I’ve got ‘mances’ with."

Benedict does a mean Alan Rickman impression

Even if it takes Keira Knightley a moment to get it…

Keira Knightley’s happy with Sam Allardyce’s long-ball tactics at her beloved West Ham United

image

The London-born star is a huge fan of the East End club and is very happy with Big Sam’s old-fashioned tactics.

"It’s working this season, we’re doing very well," she tells Cumberbatch.

'The Imitation Game' is in cinemas from this Friday, check out the trailer below.
