Westboro Baptist Church's Plan To Picket Leonard Nimoy's Funeral FOILED

Plans by the Westboro Baptist Church to picket Leonard Nimoy’s funeral were thwarted when the controversial religious group couldn’t find out where the ceremony was happening over the weekend.

The group, known for picketing the funerals of celebrities and soldiers with signs emblazoned with horrific homophobic slogans, stated their intent to target the departed ‘Star Trek’ actor’s funeral via Twitter on Friday after his death was revealed to the media.

They singled out Nimoy for his friendships with the openly gay actors George Takei and Zachary Quinto and for his connection to William Shatner, a vocal atheist.

However, the group revealed they were unable to go through with their picketing plans because “nobody is sharing WHERE.” They accompanied their post on Twitter with a short video of a group member saying, “Live long and prosper? How about serve God and live?”

Unbeknownst to the Kansas-based church, which is actually not affiliated with any Baptist denomination, Nimoy was laid to rest in a private Jewish ceremony near his Los Angeles home on Sunday.

His ‘Star Trek’ co-star William Shatner was unable to attend as he had a prior charity commitment in Florida and was unable to travel.
