Wolverine 3 To Start Filming In Early 2016

It’s common knowledge that a third solo adventure for Wolverine is on the cards, but we’re still not exactly sure when it will actually be released; until now.

Director James Mangold has teased that ‘Wolverine 3’ will be filmed in 2016, just before ‘Deadpool’ and ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ hit cinemas.

After being asked on Twitter, “When does filming start for ‘Wolverine 3’???,” Mangold, who also directed ‘The Wolverine’, took it upon himself to declare, “early next year.”

That would suggest that ‘Wolverine 3’ will either be released towards the end of 2016 or will actually arrive in the spring of summer of 2017.

Back in 2009, ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ hit cinemas in May, while the follow up solo flick for Logan, ‘The Wolverine’, was released in July 2013.

And while another summer release date for ‘Wolverine 3’ is more likely, the success of ‘Thor: The Dark World’ proves that comic-book movies can prosper in the autumn too.

In fact the likes of ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, and ‘Captain Marvel’, are each due out in the forthcoming November over the ensuing years too.

And with the summers already pretty jam-packed with comic-book adventures it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea for Wolverine’s latest adventure to be released just in time for Christmas.

So just he can get a little breathing room and Hugh Jackman can fill the airwaves promoting the film in his own inimitable fashion.
