Zac Galifianakis Is Totally Unrecognisable After Drastic Weight Loss At SAG Awards

We had to do a double take when we saw Zach Galifianakis  at the Screen Actors Guild awards on Sunday night.

The ‘Hangover’ star, noted for a full figure and impressively bushy beard, was instead looking svelte and was sporting stubble.

Galifianakiswas on stage with his fellow ‘Birdman’ cast members to collect the prestigious’ Outstanding Motion Picture Cast’ prize.

The star does seem to have been losing weight since the ‘Hangover’ movies, and was already looking trim in ‘Birdman’.

Maybe it’s because he reportedly gave up alcohol last year – he said had been indulging in “a lot of vodka with sausage” before cutting out the booze.

‘Birdman’, which stars Michael Keaton as a washed up Hollywood star, is one of the favourites for Best Picture at this year’s Oscars, especially after it’s SAG win.

Galifianakis was praised for his surprisingly un-comedic performance in the film.

We hope the newly slim star is not letting Hollywood getting to his head. Galifianakis has been outspoken in interviews about his contempt for the A-list movie star lifestyle, once telling GQ:

“There’s more to life than being an actor in a Hollywood movie. I’m not going to adapt my life after that existence, where a lot of people do. And they get the publicist, and they get all that stuff, and it becomes them. I think it’s a stupid way to live your life. A really dumb way to live your life.”
