Alex Beresford had to wear a jockstrap in 'All Star Musicals'.

The 'Good Morning Britain' weatherman is among the stars appearing on the ITV show that will air on Sunday (03.04.22) and will see celebrities performing songs from famous stage shows in front of West End experts.

Alex, 41, will be seen rapping one of the tracks from 'Hamilton' but was ordered to wear a jockstrap because his light-coloured trousers were so tight and show bosses didn't want to see too much.

The star said: "It was uncomfortable."

Beresford will be joined on the show by 'Springwatch' presenter Michaela Strachan, former 'EastEnders' star Jacqueline Jossa, 'Coronation Street' actress Lisa George, actor Colin Salmon and rugby player Danny Care.

Alex's appearance on 'All Star Musicals' – in which Elaine Paige and Samantha Barks will coach the stars as they perform tunes from musical theatre - was teased by 'Good Morning Britain' entertainment reporter Richard Arnold last month.

He said on the breakfast programme: "Bringing the sound of music, while keeping you company, will be one of us Les Mis on the 'Good Morning Britain' panel, because anything goes here and we have to pay the rent.

"Not to mention, hairspray doesn't come cheap. But who could it be? Let's line up the candidates please ...

"Could it be Susanna Reid? Could it be Alex Beresford? Adil Ray? Full frame and dramatic music, please.

"Will Adil be donning his technicolour dream coat? Well actually, here at 'GMB', everybody is talking about ... Alex Beresford!"

Meanwhile, Jacqueline revealed that her daughters – Ella, six, and Mia, three, who she shares with husband Dan Osborne – can't wait to see her on the show.

The former soap star said: "It’s thrilling and terrifying, and I can’t wait. My girls are going to love seeing me up on that stage."
