SINGER Amy MacDonald has shared her excitement on social media as her first album has been released on Apple Music with spatial audio.

The Bishopbriggs songstress took to Instagram to share her joy at hearing This Is The Life after it got the "Dolby atmos treatment".

She said: "If you haven't tried it it's pretty cool, the sound follows you around.

"The whole album's been completely remixed, but it sounds incredible, it sounds like a different record.

"There's so many little intricacies that were missed the first time round that you just hear loud and clear now, it's pretty special."

She said: "I cannot believe how different my voice is now, how much more powerful it is now, how much more refined it is, how much better it is.

"I almost felt like I wanted to rerecord the whole thing."

The remix of This Is The Life is on Apple Music now and will be available on other platforms soon.
