Andy Whyment is set to return to 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' for the all-stars series.

The 'Coronation Street' actor - who has played Kirk Sutherland for 22 years in the ITV soap - is expected to head to South Africa to film the spin-off series later this year, ahead of the show airing in 2023.

A TV insider told The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: "Andy is hugely popular with audiences, who love his down-to-earth nature and sense of humour. He’s the perfect antidote to some of the divas and egos who are likely to be in the final line-up and producers are keen to strike the right balance."

'Corrie' star Andy finished second to former 'EastEnders' actress Jacqueline Jossa in 2019's 19th series.

Other stars linked to the spin-off show include 'The Greatest Dancer' presenter Jordan Banjo, ex-'Made in Chelsea' star Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo - who was crowned Queen of the Jungle back in 2017 - and former royal butler Paul Burrell.

Boxer Amir Khan and former 'EastEnders' actor Dean Gaffney could also take part in the programme.

But former 'Gogglebox' star Scarlett Moffatt - who was crowned Queen of the Jungle in the 16th series in 2016, the year Jordan competed - recently explained why she is not interested in taking part in the 'I'm A Celebrity' all-stars show.

She told BANG Showbiz: "I was thinking about this because it has come to my attention.

"People have been talking about it but I just feel like my experience was so good in there and the people I was with, we’re still friends.

"Even though it was like six years ago, we’re still all active on the WhatsApp group chat and I just think I wouldn’t want to then tarnish that experience by going in again and maybe it not living up to expectations."
