The Arrowverse is slowly expanding as its flagship series draws closer to its final season, with yet another character promotion confirmed for Arrow.

Following the news of Katherine McNamara and Joseph David-Jones' moves to a regular spot, TVLine is now reporting that Ben Lewis will also be frequenting Star City a lot more.

Ben, who appeared throughout season seven as William Clayton-Queen, has officially been promoted to series regular status as Oliver's grown-up son, featuring heavily alongside his sister in the show's final 10 episodes.

The news comes after it was confirmed Katherine McNamara – Oliver and Felicity's daughter – will also be returning as Mia Smoak, alongside Joseph David-Jones' newly-promoted Connor Hawke.

Where Arrow giveth, Arrow taketh away, however. As with the arrival of Oliver's children comes the departure of Emily Bett Rickards' Felicity Smoak.

Although a firm fan-favourite thanks to Olicity, Emily admitted that her future on the show is looking uncertain, hinting that any kind of comeback is out of her hands.

"[A return is] not completely up to me. Never say never," she admitted.

Speaking about her exit, the actress added: "I spent seven years of my 20s on this show – people fall in love with this character that I now have to say goodbye to...

"We sent [Felicity] off in a beautiful way and she lives on in these people. I see her everywhere I go, so it's not totally goodbye."
