Biden planning blitz of dozens of executive actions immediately after inauguration

President-elect Joe Biden is planning an aggressive start to his time in office with dozens of executive actions planned in a 10-day legislative blitz.

Mr Biden’s team has prepared a roster of decrees that the new president will be able to implement on his own, with a dozen planned for inauguration day and many more scheduled for the following days.

Many will undo some of the most contentious policies of the Trump administration, including the travel ban from Muslim countries, rejoining the Paris climate accord, and a program to reunite families separated at the border.

There will also be immediate action on the coronavirus pandemic, including a mask mandate for federal property and interstate travel, and more action of stopping evictions and deferring student loan payments.
