Yahoo News Big Brother's Davina McCall and Rylan explain why Chantelle twist was one of the best
Davina McCall and Rylan Clark-Neal have revealed why the latest Big Brother: Best Show Ever twist is one of the best ever.
The duo are looking back at the greatest episodes in Big Brother history for its 20th anniversary, having first relived the infamous confrontation between Craig Phillips and 'Nasty' Nick Bateman on Sunday.
Monday's episode flashed back to Celebrity Big Brother 4 in 2006, where there was a twist that both Davina and Rylan called one of their all-time favourites.
The CBB house was packed with infamous faces that year – including popstar Pete Burns, bad-boy basketball player Dennis Rodman, glamour model Jodie Marsh, politician George Galloway, actress Rula Lenska and presenter Michael Barrymore – but it was Chantelle Houghton who had the toughest challenge of all.
The 23-year-old from Brentwood wasn't a celebrity at all, but had to convince her housemates she was a member of the fictional pop group Kandy Floss in order to earn her place in the house.
Introducing Monday's Best Shows Ever episode, Davina reflected: "This is still one of my favourite things, putting in a non-celebrity."
"I'll never forget, rumours swirling of a civilian going in [to Celebrity Big Brother]," Rylan remembered.
Both presenters also felt that Chantelle's first challenge – where she stumbled through Kandy Floss's fake single – showcased why she was perfect to be the decoy celebrity.

"Chantelle, you'd think that she was a funny choice, but she was actually a perfect choice… She wasn't somebody who could act particularly well. She was an innocent," Davina explained.
"The most awful part of it was, I'm sure she was holding the lyrics while she was singing," Rylan pointed out, with Davina laughing along: "She was! She was!"
Chantelle did actually pass the task to earn her way into the house for good – eventually winning the series and marrying her co-star Preston. (Though, the couple eventually divorced.)
