Bill Bailey has raised almost £110,000 in memory of Sean Lock.

The comedian has completed a seven day, 100 mile walk along part of the South West Coast Path to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support following the death of the '8 Out Of 10 Cats' star in August 2021.

A GoFundMe page was set up for the event, and so far donations have reached £109,577 from 5,930 supporters.

Bill recently wrote on the page: "£100k amazing !! I can’t thank all of you enough for getting us to this incredible target.

"And a huge thanks to all our fellow walkers, all Sean’s family and friends who’ve walked every mile with me, and kept our spirits up with some great laughs, and reminiscing about Sean."

The 57-year-old star walked from Bude in Cornwall to Combe Martin in Devon - which was one of his and Lock's favourite treks - alongside other friends including fellow comedian Lee Mack.

Earlier this week, Bill told ITV's 'Good Morning Britain': "I miss him all the time, everyday.

"Grief is hard to pin down, it’s not something that’s an exact science, you never know how it’s going to affect you and it can sometimes just ambush you...

"A phrase, a turn of phrase, a piece of music. Even a stretch of coastline that you walk, suddenly you get this flood of memories and that will trigger this response."

In a previous interview on 'This Morning', Bill told co-hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby how Sean had a passion for the great outdoors, and admitted the pair always tried to make the most of their final years together by going on multiple trips.

He said: “He had been diagnosed with lung cancer a few years ago and it was at the time quite a blow, particularly when it was quite advanced.

“We've tried to make the most of the last few years. We spent a lot of time together and went on trips together. And he's continued to work.

“We used to walk for miles. We’d talk about everything. Sean was brilliant company.”
