Yahoo News The Boys releases spin-off episode featuring The Butcher
The Boys spoilers follow.
The Boys' Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher, has received his own short spin-off film.
First confirmed earlier this week, we knew one was to be released alongside season two of Amazon Prime Video's dark superhero hit, and it's finally here.
Uploaded to the show's official Twitter yesterday (September 10), the short fills in plot gaps between season one's shocking finale and the beginning of season two.

Now on the run as a fugitive – Madelyn Stillwell's brutal death has been pinned on Butcher – he seeks out the help of an old buddy.
"So, what sort of extraordinarily deep shit are you in that you come shuffling up to my door in the middle of the night?" the man asks, before the super hunter reveals he's searching for his wife.
Things get a bit hectic and take a violent turn over the next few minutes (no surprises there then) as the man discovers why Butcher is on the run. Watch all the action for yourself below.

Elsewhere, Urban told Digital Spy earlier this year that he'd snuck in an undetected Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker cameo.
"Here's the process," he began. "I had the good fortune to go and visit JJ Abrams [the director] while he was shooting The Rise of Skywalker. While I was there, he put me in a stormtrooper uniform and we had a really fun day on set.
"It's been one of my life-long goals to be a stormtrooper, so I can tick that off now."
The Boys season two dropped on Amazon Prime Video on September 4 with episodes 1-3, and will continue weekly from September 11. The show's first season is available to stream now.
