Brad Pitt reunited with son and won’t fight Angelina’s divorce petition

Brad Pitt has met up with Maddox for the first time since their explosive row on a plane last month and missed a deadline to respond to estranged wife Angelina’s divorce application yesterday.

His lack of response means he will avoid lengthy divorce proceedings and his reason is to ensure the former couple do not “cause great psychological damage to their kids” through a drawn out legal battle, according to TMZ.

The Allied actor wants joint legal and physical custody of their children while Angelina is seeking sole physical custody but insiders believe they wil settle out of court.

However, Brad’s refusal to dispute Angie’s divorce petition could go against him if she decides to push for full custody.

The news comes after it was revealed Brad finally met with his eldest son Maddox on Wednesday with a therapist present.

Brad was said to have “got physical with” Maddox in a row on a private jet last month that supposedly prompted Angelina to file for divorce and the 15 year old bailed on the star when he met with his other five children last week.

The FBI questioned Angelina, Maddox, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old Knox and Vivienne earlier this month but decided to not pursue an investigation into Brad’s actions because according to TMZ, “Maddox suffered no injuries and some witnesses on the jet say Brad’s contact with the boy was inadvertent.”
