It’s been a while since we’ve seen our favourite pop stars don their glad rags for a real-life event, but on Tuesday night the music industry’s heavyweights were out in force for the BRIT Awards 2021.

Arriving at the 02 arena, stars hit the red carpet (remember those?!) for a photo moment before heading inside the east London venue to join 4000 maskless guests who were there to watch the show that was aired on ITV at 8pm.

As the first indoor live music event in 14 months and the first major red carpet London’s seen since the start of the pandemic, attendees went all-out on the glitz and glamour.

Dua Lipa, who performed alongside The Weeknd and Olivia Rodrigo, was among the first to arrive looking sassy in a yellow Vivienne Westwood cowl neck mini dress with long train. The look, which she accessorised with a Regency-vibe bouffant hair-do and pearl choker on top and black stockings, suspenders and platforms below, felt part-Bridgerton, part-Burlesque. Few could pull it off, but Dua Lipa did.

Next up came British singer-songwriter Griff, who opted for an unusual shimmering lilac tasselled dress paired with an umbrella-like crystalline headdress. Fashion for the faint of heart this was not. Continuing the outré theme came sartorial risk-taker Billy Porter, who paired a black lacey cocktail dress with black leather platforms, a wide-brimmed formal black hat and a heavy smokey eye.

Taylow Swift, who accepted her award for BRITS Global Icon, wore one of the most effortlessly glamorous, joyful looks of the night in a diamante-embellished silvery Miu Miu co-ord consisting of crop top and matching column skirt.

Leading the dapper dressers was event host Jack Whitehall, who looked svelte in a metallic burgundy suit. Also bringing their tailoring A-game was musician Pa Salieu, who accessorised his wide-leg black safari suit with a black leather beret, and Harry Styles, who rocked a brown geometric print Gucci suit which he accessorised with retro sneakers and a brown leather Gucci handbag not dissimilar to the one he carried on the James Corden show last month.

The three sisters of girlband Haim opted for a more casual vibe, in oversized slacks paired with chic waistcoats and blazers and for one, even flip-flops.
