Britney Spears’ fiancé Sam Asghari has thanked fans for their support after the singer suffered a miscarriage and expressed their hope to try again.

“We have felt your support,” the Iranian-born actor and fitness model wrote on Instagram Stories. “We are taking things positively and moving forward with our future. It’s hard but we are not alone. Thank you for respecting our privacy. We will be expanding our family soon.”

The Toxic hit-maker, 40, first announced that she and Asghari, 28, were expecting a child together last month.

On Saturday, they issued a joint issue on social media announcing that they had sadly lost the baby.

They said: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.

“This is a devastating time for any parent.

“Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to share the good news. Our love for each other is our strength.

“We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all your support.”

Responding to the post, Asghari said: “We will have a miracle soon.”

On Monday, Spears shared a Sex and the City meme that featured Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw with heavy eye makeup saying: “I am not in the mood to be with a bunch of people.”

The Louisiana-born star captioned it: “Unfortunately my mood these days … I honestly hope it doesn’t turn into years.”

Spears has made no secret of her desire to start a family with Asghari, whom she got engaged to in September.

The couple first met on the set of her Slumber Party music video in 2016.

She already shares sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
