The very first fan convention for theatre lovers is set to arrive in London in November.

Taking place at Shoreditch Town Hall on November 3-4, StageCon will bring plays, musicals, opera and dance, celebrating theatre life both in the spotlight and behind the scenes.

West End stars will make appearances with Sharon D Clarke, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Samantha Bond and Christina Bennington confirmed among the line-up.

Cameron Blakely, Louise Dearman, Sophie Evans, Alice Fearn, David Hunter, Debbie Kurrup, Scott Paige, Steph Parry, Stuart Matthew Price, Caroline Sheen, Cherrelle Skeete, Charlotte Wakefield and Michael Xavier are also on the list.

StageCon hopes to build the same clout as New York’s BroadwayCon, promoting the volume of theatrical expertise in the whole of the UK, both in mainstream performance and on the fringe.

The convention will include live performances, sing-alongs, panels, meet and greets, exclusive previews and showcases.

UK general manager of the convention James Yeoburn said: “StageCon presents a really exciting opportunity for fans from across the UK and the EU to come together in London to celebrate the magic of theatre. Those attending can expect to enjoy a diverse programme of 100+ hours of events and performances from everyone’s favourite artists, theatre makers and shows – from the West End to London’s Fringe and beyond.”
