Chart-topping band McFly to headline Herefordshire festival

MCFLY have just been announced as one of the headline acts at a Herefordshire festival later this year.

The band, made up of Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, Danny Jones and Harry Judd, will headline on Sunday, August 13 at Lakefest at Eastnor Castle.

The announcement follows the band’s return to touring in 2019 with their comeback show at London’s O2 which sold out in just seconds, and a successful year of playing a number of UK summer festivals in 2021 and 2022.

It looks set to be another great year for the band, with the release of their highly anticipated seventh studio album and more dates confirmed for live performances.

The band took their name from the Back to the Future character Marty McFly, and are best known for their hits 5 Colours in Her Hair, All About You and Star Girl, all of which are among their number ones.

The four-day festival, which starts on Thursday, August 10, has already announced Clean Bandit as another headliner.

The electronic music group was formed in Cambridge in 2008 and they have had four number-one hits and ten top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart.

They direct and produce their own music videos, many of which have been nominated for Brit Awards and VMAs, while two of them, "Symphony" and "Rockabye", each have over 1 billion views on YouTube, with Rockabye having reached over 2.7 billion views.

The group currently consists of founder Grace Chatto and brothers Jack and Luke Patterson.
