Cilla actress Sheridan Smith has shared that she's already considering having another child five months after welcoming her firstborn son Billy.

Grabbing a mic for Kerry Ellis' podcast Keep Calm and Kerry On, the 39-year-old revealed that she and her fiancé Jamie Horn "love" the idea of having more children, and have even already gone as far as discussing little Billy's future career options.

"I'd love to have another baby... we've already spoken about it," Sheridan told the host.

"It's hard when you start planning work, but it would be so nice. I never saw children on the cards for me, but it puts everything into perspective," she continued.

Sheridan continued on to open up about her and Jamie's hopes for their five-month-old son, with the actress admitting that Jamie's "dead-set" on their son becoming a professional footballer.

"Jamie's dead-set on Billy being an Arsenal player. He's like, 'If we can, get him into an academy at three,' and I'm like, 'No'. But when Jamie's out, I put music on and shimmy at him," she admitted.

"Whatever Billy does, we'll support him. I'm learning as I go along."

Last month, the Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps favourite confirmed on Instagram she wouldn't be sharing pictures of her son online.

"I won't be putting pics of the boy up on social media," she wrote on Instagram. "But basically ... he looks like a male version of me. Just less 80's and more handsome! God love him! we all send our love."

Sheridan also recently featured in ITV documentary Sheridan Smith: Becoming Mum, which followed the actress and her partner during her pregnancy ahead of Billy's birth in May.

"I wanted it to be an educational documentary, not like a reality show. But yes, of course I do speak about my own personal journey in it. Hopefully just to help others," Sheridan said of making the docu-series.

"In fact, I speak about things I have never spoken about before and I'd never spoken to my family and loved ones about, other than in this documentary. So there are things revealed that I've never felt it the right time to say, or I've been ashamed or embarrassed to say before.

"But I thought, if I'm going on this journey for other women too who feel like that, then I need to be completely honest about what's happened in my life."
