Fay Ripley doubts 'Cold Feet' will ever make a comeback.

The 56-year-old actress starred alongside John Thompson, James Nesbitt, Robert Brathurst, Helen Baxendale and Hermione Norris in the hit TV series - but Fay doubts that it'll make a comeback, admitting that they shouldn't "push [their] luck".

Discussing the possibility of reviving the programme, Fay - who played Jenny Gifford in the ITV show - told Saga magazine: "We would all love it to, but the reality is that it probably won’t.

"We were incredibly privileged to have a show that was much loved for so long. So, I think, don’t push your luck."

'Cold Feet' first aired in 1997 and fans continue to ask questions to Fay about the show.

Asked what question she gets asked most often, Fay replied: "Mainly they want to know if it’s coming back again."

Fay has written a number of successful cookbooks since leaving the ITV show, and she'd ultimately loved to host her own cooking programme one day.

Speaking about her career ambitions, Fay explained: "I’ve talked about it for many years, and I’ve done a lot of cooking on the telly. If it was the right fit, then I would. My dilemma is, would it mean I’m not an actor anymore? At the moment I still like my day job.

"When I finished on 'Cold Feet' it was the end of something very familiar. That show felt like home and now I’m going on a massive adventure. It’s a bit surreal, but I feel very lucky."
